Portfolio

I am an artist and designer graduating in the field of Industrial Design from San Francisco State University. My design work is a far contrast from my art, by taking a more simple and minimal approach. I strongly believe that many design solutions are found in simplicity, the less steps a system requires, the easier it would be for the user. On an interesting note, my love for design and my love for art constantly crash with each other, leading to a back and forth battle between functionality and aesthetics, as well as a desire to bend the rules or even challenge them. Outside of my designer/artist life, I am a lover of music, so you can find me at a music festival or concert in the city, or playing a board game at my friends house, if I am not binge watching another series with my girlfriend (who’s also a designer) while eating poke.

The LUNA Chair

The LUNA chair is inspired from the New Moon facet of the moon cycle. To create this shape, the designer looked at the geometrical and minimal approach used by Bauhaus designers in the earlier half of the 20th Century.

Sol-meal

The Sol-meal is a quick snack that replaces food bars, making it easier to transport and eat while on the run. The package design is focused to a business casual male audience.

Dahlia Vacuum Cleaner

The Dahlia vacuum cleaner, is design to solve for the ergonomic problem created on the wrist while vacuuming. The stress in the wrist is a leading cause for carpal tunnel and other injuries in the cleaning and janitorial work force. This design challenge was solved by a redesign of the handle, that included a redistribution of weight in the vacuum by following ergonomic studies, and user testing.
