B.S. of Visual Communication Design
Portfolio
I’m studying Visual Communication Design at SFSU. When designing I take into account sustainability, accessibility, and inclusivity. I get inspiration from my surroundings, design magazines, pop culture, films, architecture and small designers on social media from all over the world. I enjoy working with and learning different programs for different mediums, it’s always a fun experience and the possibilities are endless. In the future, I hope to incorporate social activism into my designs and make something meaningful and impactful.
Mapping the Invisible
This 24 x 36” poster is designed to show my personal progress learning how to play the piano. I decided to learn how to play the piano, having run out of activities to do at home. I tracked my progress over the course of seven days and took note of the songs, genres, time of day, my frustration level, my mood, and any body aches I would experience. The data was then laid out on a radar chart. It reveals the correlations among the different variables that affect my progress while playing. For example, the longer I played, the higher my pain level was. The chart also shows that I get less frustrated as the days go on.
Mobile Clipper Card
The project is an account based mobile app where users can register their Clipper cards and be able to instantly put funds on their Clipper cards, which will be linked to their bank account. The users should also be able to transfer funds from clipper card to another, instead of having to call customer service. The app can also have a feature where families can use one account for convenience. Riders will no longer have to worry about misplacing their Clipper cards, having to buy another one, or waiting in lines while in a rush. Through this app, the user can have a mobile Clipper Card that they can use to get through the gates and pay at the kiosks without a physical Clipper Card.
‘Night Out’ 2D Game
“Night Out” is a social commentary 2D Game created using Unity. The player’s goal is to avoid Karen, a rich and privileged woman who is always in everyone’s business, and keep her from calling the cops and spoiling your night out in the city. To win the game, the player must collect enough objects, which are the Juul devices, White Claws, hotdogs, and joints. This game represents the activities of young adults and the different values between two different generations.
