I’m a Visual Communication Design student in the School of Design at San Francisco State University. Born and raised in the San Francisco, Bay Area I am greatly inspired by the various cultures, artwork, music, and social issues that fill the communities around me. These attributes in combination with my personal Mexican heritage come together in my work across all platforms. My talent and passion for writing and painting Latinidad in America earned me a feature in the Spring 2018 edition of local Latino Literature magazine Canto. My paintings were also published and featured as the front and back cover of the magazine. My love for my community has led me to assist many local small up and coming businesses with establishing their brand identity. Several small businesses have reached out to me and looked for assistance in creating logos and graphics for their merchandise. I am currently working as the creative director for an upcoming fashion brand and have taken on the challenges of creating a brand identity for the brand by producing their logo, graphics, promotional posts, and website. I have used all the knowledge and skills that I have received from my education and freelance work to continue progressing my skills and make an impact on the community around me.

The Hermanas Collection

The Hermanas Collection is a personal project created in homage to my sisters. The collection is titled Hermanas because it is an ode to my sisters. I chose to put the Spanish definition for sisters on the garments to give a clue to viewers that these are my sisters, whether they be blood or not, that is the relationship I have with them. Being heavily influenced by personal experiences and relationships with others, the desire to create a personal project dedicated towards to the impact these women have in my life felt necessary.

3D Taco Truck

The inspiration behind the project is to take on the challenge of creating a 3D model for the first time using Blender. The desire to create a low—poly object was inspired by other vehicles such as an ice cream truck, food truck, and garbage truck. The theme of a taco truck came from my Mexican background and wanting to make an object that is emblematic to Mexican-American culture, which is taco trucks.

Tazo Tea Rebrand

The Tazo Tea rebrand project involved creating three original flavors as well as the packaging design that would go with those flavors. I chose to do a limited edition, holiday collection of teas that would be centered around warm and inviting flavors the consumers would associate with the holiday time. Each label includes the flavor of the tea, the herbal notes it has, as well as if it is caffeinated or not.
